During college, she spent her weekends performing with a local band, “Cashmere”. She later sang back-up for Sting, Rod Stewart, and Don Henley.After completion of her graduation, Crow served as a music teacher. In 1991, Crow was called A&M Records for the recording of an album.She was raised there alongside two sisters, Kathy and Karen and a brother, Steve.
Before she started her career fully, she joined the band, The Tuesday Music Club in 1991.
The band had her then-boyfriend, Kevin Gilbert, David Baerwald, David Ricketts, and Bill Bottrell as members. For her music, she has received a number of awards including the Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, ASCAP Pop Music Awards, and BRIT Awards. Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 but was able to beat it, thanks to early detection.
Although it is not known when she was engaged again, she revealed that because she has been engaged a couple of times in the past, if she was ever going to get married, she would definitely skip that part.

Her relationship with Lance Armstrong started in 2003 and by 2005, they got engaged.
